Justine Wang is a San Diego-based Asian American dancer, teacher, and choreographer with over 10 years of experience. Primarily trained in hip hop, Justine’s movement is rooted in groove, musicality, and authentic storytelling. With a background in Psychology, she is able to better connect with her students and her community.
Inspired by shows like America’s Best Dance Crew, Justine began dancing at the age of 8, and continued to develop her artistry, through mentorship from leaders such as Carlo Darang, Sorah Yang, and Halima Dodo.
To give back to the community that shaped her, Justine started teaching Beginner Grooves at Studio FX. In 2023, she founded Sweet Dreams Dance Company to create a more inclusive and accessible space for dancers seeking growth, self-expression, and community.
As a director and instructor, Justine encourages her dancers to embrace the challenges and progress that comes with the journey of dance. She values resilience, consistency, and community over perfection. Through her work, she aims to build a more sustainable and dance community in San Diego, with a long-term vision of opening a studio that supports artists, fosters community, and uplifts the culture.
